Signed a 2 years contact with Mr. Yannai of Panasonic Company to provide their products (TV, VCR, Kitchen ware, iron, etc.) to institutes of special children (one school each month all over the Pakistan). The program aims to cover the three provinces of Pakistan, so far we have reached 8 schools in big cites like Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Multan, Lahore and Karachi, etc.

Inter School Tabulo Competition.

Helping Hands organized a Tableau Competition among the special children from the special schools from all over Lahore on March 22, 2001. Children with four categories (Mentally retarded, physically disabled, hearing impaired and visually handicapped) participated in the competition. Provincial Minister for social welfare, women development and Bait-ul-Maal, Miss Shaheen Ateeq-ur Rehman was the chief quest and Mr. Yannie of Panasonic was the guest of Honor, who came all the way from UAE for this program.

All Pakistan Painting Exhibition For Special Children.

Organized All Pakistan painting exhibition for special children. This kind of step was taken FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF PAKISTAN.  PTV Covered the Exhibition in national news at 9:00 and later on presented a documentary of one hour duration.

Exhibition organized in Al-Hamra Arts Council from April 22 to April 30, 2001. Federal Law Minister Dr. KHALID RANJHA inaugurated the exhibition. Provincial Minister Miss SHAHEEN ATEEQ-UR-REHMAN distributed the prized amongst the winners of the exhibition.

More than 25 schools from all over the Pakistan participated and 230 paintings were displayed. All the participants (special children) of the exhibition were given individual prizes, medals and certificates for participation.

Program was very much appreciated by electronic and print media including Radio, TV and Newspapers.
